8000 Series Reed and Electronic Sensors

The Canfield Connector Series 8000 Reed and Electronic sensors are compact units designed for sensing applications on round cylinders from 9/16″ – 4″ and tie-rod pneumatic cylinders from 3/4″ – 8″ bore. These sensors offer a wide voltage range from 0-120 VAC/VDC 50/60 Hz and high current capacity up to 0.5 Amps. They include high intensity indicator lights and a wide viewing angle. The sensor’s small package can fit easily on the smallest cylinder without appearing too large. The Series 8000’s design promotes ease of installation with a tight fit. Options include 9ft. PVC or 8mm quick connect male pigtail.

OSV – Optical Sensor Valve

Canfield Connector’s OSV Conveyor Control Photo eye/solenoid valve combination and is designed to be used as a sensing and pneumatic output device in one The OSV is mounted on Live Roller Conveyor type equipment and features a low cost yet robust design that facilitates easy installation as well as reliable function by use of polarized retro-reflective photo-eye on board.  The photo-eyes is made up of an infra-red emitting LED that shines through polarity filters so as to enable the OSV to filter out ambient light and ignore flashers and nominally direct sunlight.  The sensor has an internal time delay which prevents slowing of the product on the conveyor as well as top and bottom showing indicator lights which show sensor condition.  The solenoid valve comes with a spring compensated plunger seat design which is designed for 20 million cycles in clean-dry air.  OSV can be used in singulation or slug discharge mode dependent on the control desired.  The Canfield Connector OSV is designed for reliable sensing of objects moving through conveyor zones in order to maximize product flow while preventing product damage.

5JMSD- In-line Micro Solenoid Driver Molded Connectors

The Canfield Connector Series 5JMSD is a solenoid driver circuit (Coil Saver) tucked away in our all new in-line electronics package coupled with our 5J all-molded DIN solenoid valve connector/gasket/cord assembly for DIN 43650 Form A, Industry and Form C Solenoid Valve Connectors (EN 175301-803-2000 ). The integrated gasket design boasts an IP67/NEMA 6 rating and makes it impossible to lose the gasket. Made from rugged yet flexible polyurethane, the connector housing boasts high durability factors and application versatility. The Coil Saver enhances solenoid valve function as it lowers the wattage of solenoid operators of solenoid valves as it first applies a full voltage to ensure strong pull-in then drops the current when the solenoid magnetic circuit is most efficient and lowers wattage during long term energization or repeated cycles and lower RMS wattage. Both the in-line Coil Saver package and the 5J are fully encapsulated enclosures. This design allows for the Coil Saver to be isolated from the heat of the solenoid as well as installed upstream, away from the coil connector that is designed for this heat.  The DC voltage version is 46mm by 15mm cylinder and is IP68 fully sealed from dust and water ingress.  The in-line package can control input DC voltage and supplies PWM DC to the coil. Nylon Strain Relief Cord Grip CanTops

Canfield Connector’s Nylon Strain Relief CanTop  Connectors are a series of wire bulkhead feed through connectors which have integrated wire strain relief and sealing mechanism.  These CanTops are made from rugged engineered materials which are impervious to dust and moisture.  Available in various NPT, PG, and metric thread sizes and in Gray or Black Nylon.  These CanTops are compatible with wire diameters from .079” to 1.732”, to ensure a tight fit while enhancing any wire installation.
